Lyndal Asanempoka is an Australian/Ghanaian woman. She is a teacher, performing artist, public health professional, wife and mother, and a writer. She is also the director of a culture and arts cooperative between Ghana and Australia.
She has lived in West and East Africa but has always most enjoyed living in her husband’s small town in northern Ghana in the traditional family house.
In her writing Asanempoka ponders the concepts of Sisterhood and connectedness between women in cross-cultural relationships.
Asanempoka’s first book, My Sisters & I, was self-published in 2013. She is yet to win any prize but is working on it.
